The noose is being tightened on former Samajwadi Party and Nishad Party MLA Vijay Mishra and his close ones. Following the order of District Magistrate Gaurang Rathi, on Tuesday Bhadohi police seized 6.6260 hectares of land situated in the name of former MLA’s son-daughter-in-law and Samadhi in Mirzapur with the help of Lalganj revenue team. On November 18, the District Magistrate’s court had ordered attachment of land worth Rs 10 crore 92 lakh 71 thousand bought in the name of former MLA’s son-daughter-in-law and Samdhi at Lalganj Bhusi Bhatharha in Mirzapur.
Former MLA Vijay, who is serving sentence in 83 cases including murder, robbery, kidnapping, rape, assault, property grabbing and forgery, is currently lodged in Agra Central Jail. Here, the strictness of the police-administration on the former MLA and his family remains intact. On November 18, the District Magistrate, Gaurang Rathi, in the name of former MLA’s son Vishnu Mishra and daughter-in-law Rupa Mishra and his brother-in-law Ramesh Chandra Mishra, located in Araji Mauja Bhusi Patharha, Lalganj Tehsil, Mirzapur, has transferred Gata number 83C area 6.6260 hectares (26 bigha 04 viswa approx) ordered the confiscation of the land. It is alleged that the former MLA had got this land registered in the name of his family/relatives with the money earned from criminal acts at a price less than the actual price using his influence. Under the order, the Bhadohi police along with the revenue team of Lalganj tehsil reached the spot and seized the board and demarcation under section 14(1) of the Uttar Pradesh Gang Vand and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act 14(1) Gone. Superintendent of Police Dr. Anil Kumar said that after the order of the District Magistrate, about 6.6260 hectares of land purchased in the name of former MLA’s son-daughter-in-law and Samdhi at Bhusi Pathraha of Lalganj Tehsil of Mirzapur was confiscated with the help of Lalganj Revenue Team Is.
