Horrific accident in Prayagraj: High speed collided with Tavera pole, six killed, all were going to Vindhyachal to visit


Tavera car of devotees going for Vindhyachal Darshan from Shivgarh in Soraon police station area collided with an electric pole on Thursday morning. In this accident, six including four women of the same family, who were traveling in the Tavera car, died on the spot. One of the injured died during treatment at SRN Hospital.

The accident happened at around 6:40 am near Handia toll plaza. Tavera train number UP 78 BQ 3601 from village Sarai Lal alias Shivgarh police station Soraon district Prayagraj, the devotees going to visit Vindhyachal became uncontrollable due to hitting the electric pole before Tavera Hadiya toll plaza. Due to which a total of six including 4 women, a one-year-old boy and a teenager died on the spot.

The deceased include Rekha wife Sanjay Agrahari (40), Rekha wife Ramesh (32), Krishna Devi wife Shyamlal (70), Kavita wife Dinesh (36) and one-year-old Shlesh and Nayasha (14). Among the injured, Umesh’s son Shyamlal, Priya’s wife Umesh, Gotu daughter Ramesh, Rishabh’s son Ram Sajeevan Agrahari, driver Irshad, all residents of Shivgarh have been sent to CHC Upardaha for treatment. The bodies have been sent by ambulance to the SRN mortuary.

A large crowd gathered after the incident. Along with the employees present at the toll plaza, the Handia police also reached the spot. The car was removed by crane.

The car blew up after the incident. On receiving the information, the families of the dead and injured also reached the spot. There was screaming all around. Police sent everyone to SRN Hospital with the help of an ambulance. Some people were also sent to the local CHC.
