High Court: UPHESC admits mistake in assistant professor recruitment exam evaluation

The Higher Education Service Commission, Prayagraj has accepted the mistake made in the evaluation of OMR seat in the Assistant Professor recruitment and the commission’s advocate Gagan Mehta told the Allahabad High Court that not only economics, mistakes have been found in the evaluation of other subjects as well. The commission will rectify the mistakes in the result before declaring the revised result. Which will take some time.

After this assurance of the commission, the court disposed of the petition saying that the petitioner should be given marks of correct answers to all the 74 questions. The court has said that if the selected is made to join, then it will depend on the revised final result to be announced by the commission. Justice Soumitra Dayal Singh has given this order on the petition of Mahendra Kumar Verma.

It was said on behalf of the petitioner that 74 correct questions should have got 155.79 marks. Whereas he has been given only 153.68 marks. Due to which he is out of the selection list. The counsel for the commission had sought time for information. When the hearing was held again, it was said that there was a mistake in the evaluation of the answer sheet. Which the commission will rectify and declare the final result.
