The Allahabad High Court has sought a personal affidavit from the Principal Secretary Finance in three weeks to comply with the decision given in 2001 to give pay scales to polytechnic teachers under the All India Council for Technical Education Regulations. The next hearing of the petition will be on December 5. Justice Prakash Padia has given this order on the contempt petition of Federation of Indian Polytechnic Teachers Organization.
The petitioner says that despite being final till the Supreme Court, the decision given in 2001 is not being followed. The court had sought information from the principal secretary. He informed that a committee has been constituted. Give time to follow up.
After this, Director Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh Kanpur filed a compliance affidavit and said that a three-member committee meeting of Special Secretary Finance, Special Secretary Personal and Special Secretary Law has taken the decision. The government has taken a policy decision. Will get the pay scale of technical education. Will be implemented after consulting the Law Department. The petitioner’s advocate said that it is clear from the affidavit that the order has not yet been complied with. On this, the court has sought a personal affidavit from the Principal Secretary Finance.
