There was a lot of uproar at the Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi due to flight delay. On Thursday, Spice Jet Airlines flight SG-201 was to fly from Mumbai at 7:45 am and reach Varanasi airport at 10 am. Then the same flight from Varanasi was to reach Mumbai at 10:30 am and from Varanasi at 12:30 pm. Passengers going to Mumbai had reached Varanasi airport in the morning. But the plane did not reach its scheduled time and reached at 8 pm and at 10:30 pm the plane left for its destination.
The passengers created a ruckus about this. SpiceJet officials tried to pacify the passengers. Due to the long delay of the flight, the passengers started raising slogans against the officials.
Explain that according to the rules of the airlines, the passengers catching the plane have to reach about 1 hour before the boarding time. In which other necessary security checking process including security checking has to be done by the passengers at the airlines counter. When the plane did not reach Varanasi airport till noon, the passengers started questioning SpiceJet officials and employees.
On the other hand, the passengers alleged that the officials kept giving false consolation time and again and did not even ask any passenger for breakfast and food during this period. Angered by this, the passengers sat on a dharna in the terminal building of the airport.
Airlines officials said that the flight was already rescheduled and all passengers were informed by email and phone. Arrangements were also made for the breakfast of the passengers. Arrangements were made for the passengers arriving at the airport even after being informed through e-mail and phone.
