Now the vehicle owners will have to pay five rupees more to get the pollution test done. If people get the pollution checked at the registered centers of Hathras, then the increased rates will have to be paid. Vehicle owners will also have to pay a fine for not getting pollution checked.
It is noteworthy that at present more than two lakh vehicles are plying on the roads of the district. Pollution checks are done from time to time by these vehicle owners. Since Hathras district comes under the TTZ area, plying of vehicles spewing smoke without pollution check is prohibited here. There is a provision of a fine of Rs 10,000 for not checking pollution.
The owner of a petrol-powered vehicle will now have to pay Rs 55. Vehicles running on petrol and CNG will have to pay Rs 75. Four wheeler petrol and CNG vehicle will have to pay Rs 75, Diesel vehicle will have to pay Rs 105 for pollution test. RI Santosh Kumar says that the rates of pollution test have been increased by five rupees from the government level.
