For example – mango, lemon, radish, red chilli etc. Have you ever tasted pickle of peas? Yes, the flavourful Matar Pickle is great. Peas are available in plenty in winters and with this, it starts being used extensively in vegetables and food dishes. Peas may look small in appearance, but they are rich in taste and nutrition. In such a situation, let’s learn the recipe for making green peas pickle.

Peas – Kilo
Fennel – 1 tsp
Ajwain – 3/4 tsp
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Dry mango – 1/2 tsp
Pickle masala – 4 tsp
Oil – 2 tsp

- To make pea pickle, first peel the peas and wash its grains with water and put them in a sieve, so that all the water gets drained out in some time.
- Now take a pan and put oil in it and keep it on medium flame to heat.
- The oil will heat up in about 1 minute, after that add fennel and celery and fry it. After frying for a few seconds, add turmeric powder and peas to it.
- Mix the peas with the spices well with a big spoon. After this add red chili powder and salt as per taste and mix. After roasting while stirring for some time, mix pickle masala powder in it. Then add mango powder to it and cover the vessel and cook till the peas become soft.
- It will take about 5 minutes for the peas to become soft. After this turn off the gas. Pea pickle full of taste and nutrition is ready. Now you can serve pea pickle rich in taste and nutrition along with food in lunch or dinner.
