The thieves who arrived by car at around 12.15 pm first broke the lock of the shutter by breaking the CCTV camera installed in the shop. Hearing the sound, the neighboring shopkeeper started making noise by calling his people living in the village from inside. By the time the villagers reached, the thieves ran towards Saraiya Bazar.
When the shopkeeper reached Saraiya chasing the thief, a policeman was present there along with some policemen. When the shopkeeper informed him about the incident, instead of catching the thieves, the policemen scolded the shopkeeper and drove him away saying that the cameras were broken. Theft hasn’t happened. The movement of the thieves is also captured in the CCTV footage.
Inspector in-charge Manoj Kumar Pandey says that there is information about the theft incident. The police report will be sent to the higher authority. Action will be taken by registering a case on the complaint of the victim. If the policeman has said so then it is a serious matter. Action will be taken after knowing the matter.
