Near the Tarang crossing of Kotwali area of Gorakhpur district, on Wednesday evening, the accountant of the railway contracting company created a sensation by reporting loot of Rs 2.63 lakh. On information, the police reached the spot and started investigation.
In the investigation, the CCTV footage was found in the hands of the police, in which the accountant is visible and no coercion is visible with him. When the police inquired after showing the video, he told that the money had fallen and because of this he had informed about the robbery. However, in the footage obtained by the police, he himself is seen giving money to a bike rider.
According to the information, Durga Lal Yadav, a resident of Budhnagar, PPganj Ward No. 18, is a bookkeeper in the Haldia company working on contract with the Railways. Rs 2.63 lakh had come into the account to pay salaries to the employees. On Wednesday, he withdrew money from PNB in PPganj town and reached near Tarang crossing by auto.
