After the voter campaign for Gorakhpur-Faizabad graduate election and body election, now the voter revision campaign has started to become a voter of the assembly constituency. In this campaign which started from November 9, the application form can be submitted till December 8 to become a voter.

The special campaign will be held on December 12, 20, 26 and 4. During this, BLOs will be present at all the booths with all types of applications including name addition, cutting and amendment.

District Election Officer / DM Krishna Karunesh said that youth who have completed 18 years of age on January 1, 2023 can also become voters in this voter revision campaign started on the instructions of the Election Commission. Draft publication of electoral rolls has been done on November 9.

The last date for receipt of claims and objections i.e. submission of application form to become a voter is 8th December 2022. Claims and objections will be settled by December 26, 2022 and the final publication of electoral rolls will be on January 5, 2023.

Ban on transfers till January 5
District Election Officer Krishna Karunesh said that the Election Commission of India has banned the transfer of officers related to the work of revision of electoral rolls, such as Deputy District Election Officers, Electoral Registration Officers, Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, etc. till January 5. Meanwhile, transfers can be done only with the permission of the Election Commission.
