Chandravati Yadav (65) was hacked to death on Thursday morning in Singhla Tola of Mahurai of Gagaha area of ​​Gorakhpur district. It is alleged that both his grandsons carried out the incident in a property dispute. The police have taken one of the accused Mukesh into custody, while the search is on for the others.

On the Tahrir of the deceased’s daughter Sangeeta Yadav, the grandson Mukesh, his brother Rakesh Yadav were accused of murder and father Ramkaran, his wife Mewati accused of criminal conspiracy. Police are raiding in search of other absconding accused.

According to the information, Chandravati Yadav’s husband Palakdhari Yadav passed away a few years ago. After the death of her husband, the property became in the name of her and son Ramkaran Yadav. Due to the dispute in the house, Chandravati started living with her daughter Sangeeta in her in-laws’ Sevai village of Belipar police station area.

A few years ago, Chandravati had sold some of her share of land for treatment, after which sons Ramkaran Yadav, grandsons Rakesh (19) and Mukesh (21) were angry. There was doubt in the minds of the grandsons that they should not sell the remaining land of their share anywhere.

Chandravati’s son-in-law Gama Yadav told that just three days ago she had come to her village Singhla from the daughter’s in-laws’ house. On Thursday morning, the grandsons Rakesh and Mukesh surrounded her on the road of the village and bled her with a spade, due to which she fell into the paddy field while screaming and died on the spot.
