Gorakhpur Dengue Alert: Four new dengue infected found in Gorakhpur, number of patients reached 194


The cases of dengue infection are increasing continuously in Gorakhpur district. Four new patients have been found in the investigation conducted on Wednesday. There are two patients each from urban and rural areas. After this the total number of infected has reached 194. Of these, there are 120 patients in urban areas and 74 in rural areas.

District Malaria Officer Angad Kumar Singh said that a 25-year-old resident of Bichiya in Municipal Corporation area, a 55-year-old man from Raiganj and a 50-year-old resident of Hadhwa Gate have got dengue infection. A 32-year-old youth resident of Dadwa Chatur in Bansgaon area has also been found suffering from dengue.

These patients were first examined with the NS-One kit. After this the sample was sent for ELISA test, where dengue has been confirmed. Told that six patients are already admitted in the district hospital. Whereas, two new patients have been admitted on Wednesday.

Two dengue patients found in Harpur Budhat area

Two dengue patients have been found in two villages of Harpur Budhat area. Both the patients are in home isolation after dengue is confirmed. Both had complaints of fever for a week. In Jhakahi Babu under Sonbarsa Primary Health Center, a woman had fever for two weeks. He got the test done at Sahajanwan Community Health Center where dengue was confirmed. The woman is at home with medicine.

At the same time, a young man from Vishunpura village had fever for a week. When he got tested in a pathology, dengue was confirmed. He is also at home with medicine. People have demanded spraying of insecticide if dengue patients are found in the village.

There was no spraying in the fountain of Laldiggi Park, dengue larvae were found

Even after the larvae of dengue were found in the fountain of Laldiggi Park, medicines were not sprayed there so far. There is resentment among the people of the area about this. People have demanded from the Municipal Commissioner to get the dirty water out of the fountain as well as to sprinkle it there. Recently, District Malaria Control Officer Angad Singh inspected Lal Diggi Park. During this time, dengue larvae were found in many places there. He had given necessary directions to the guards posted in the park. Its report was also sent to the Municipal Corporation. However, till now neither the water was removed nor the spraying of medicines could be done.

Campaign launched to destroy dengue larvae

The health department has started a campaign to destroy the larvae among the increasing number of dengue patients. Under this, the team investigated on Wednesday in the Jafra Bazar area, where the larvae were destroyed when they were found. Along with this, while giving notice to six houses, strict instructions were given that if larvae are found for the second time, then fine will be collected.
