Shankar Mahadevan’s program will be organized in Shri Kashi Vishwanath Corridor and tourists aboard Ganga Vilas Cruise will enjoy it. Shankar Mahadevan reached Banaras late Wednesday evening. Accompanied by fans, the Lankan wrestler visited the Lassi shop and relished Malaiyo and Rabri.
Shankar Mahadevan’s Sur Sandhya to be held on Thursday at Baba’s Dham will make one realize how Maa Ganga is revered as a goddess for every Indian and the entire humanity. Different songs have been selected from different states in this concert.
Folk musicians from Assam, Bihar and Bengal will join popular singer Shankar Mahadevan to pay homage to the rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Brahmaputra. The nearly one-hour long show will end with a rendition of Shankar Mahadevan’s ‘Kartavya Ganga’. ‘Kartavya Ganga’ promises the river goddess that every Indian will always take care of her. We all will do everything to protect her water as she has always been protecting us.
