Sir! I have lost my only son while serving the people in the Corona pandemic. Now it is becoming difficult to raise a family. I have been running for the whole year to get the amount of financial assistance, but no one is listening. Nirmal Prasad, a resident of Goplapur, was giving this painful rebuke to disaster coordinator Gautam Gupta on Monday.

Standing in front of the officer’s table with folded hands, Nirmal Prasad became emotional while pleading. Sobbing said that if I die then what will happen to the grandchildren? The little land that was there, was mortgaged for the treatment of the son. The pension is somehow surviving. Had I got financial help, I would have done something for the future security of my daughter-in-law and grandchildren.

Wiping the tears that filled his eyes, he said that now my age is over. The breath can leave you at any time. I have lost my only son. The last wish is to secure the future of daughter-in-law and grandchildren while alive. Joining hands Somehow provide financial assistance for the rights of the children.

After this, he said in a bit harsh tone that no employee associated with essential services would put his life at risk during an epidemic. Even the family members will not allow this. Then he said that all the victims have got help. I’m the only one running.

However, it is not true that only Nirmal Prasad is making rounds to get financial help. The relatives of other five front line workers of the district have also not been able to get financial help. Everyone is running from disaster office to DM office. The Chief Minister has also pleaded in the Janata Darbar to be held at the Gorakhnath Temple, but no hearing is taking place.

At the same time, from the people in charge of the disaster office to the disaster officer in charge and the DM, everyone says that the entire process has been completed and sent to the government. Reminder has also been sent. Financial help is expected soon.

After completing all the necessary formalities including verification from the department, the disaster department has sent a file to the government for financial assistance of Rs 50 lakh, but the help has not been received till date.

Late Vimla Shukla, who was posted as Anganwadi worker in Child Development and Nutrition Department, late Arjun Ojha, who was block mission manager in National Rural Livelihood Mission, late Rajeev Kumar Gaur, who was posted as collection assistant in Revenue Department and Health, was waiting for financial help. The names of the family members of late Vikas Singh, who was posted as a ward boy at Charganwa Primary Health Center under the department, are also included.

Salary is ending in repaying the loan of treatment: Reena
The name of Rajeev Kumar Gaur, posted as a collection assistant in the Collectorate, is also included in the list of front line workers who lost their lives in Corona. After Rajiv’s death, his wife Reena Devi got a job in his place, but financial help has not been received till now. On Monday, she also reached the disaster office for lobbying.

She said that she got a job in place of her husband about a year ago, but most of the salary she gets goes to repay the loan of Rs 4 lakh taken for her husband’s treatment. Reena says that the daughter has turned 19 years old. It is becoming difficult to meet the expenses of studies. If financial help would have been available, it would have helped to make the daughter’s hands yellow.
