Delhi: If you are traveling by train then this is important news for you. IRCTC has increased the price of food items available in the pantry car. East Central Railway has decided to increase the price of food in trains passing through its area. IRCTC Regional General Manager Rajesh Kumar said that both the quality and quantity have improved, hence the food items have also increased. Many food items including bread, dal, dosa, sandwich have become costlier.

Increase in the price of everything from Rs 2 to Rs 25

IRCTC has increased the prices of food and drink items available in the train. But the relieving news is that the prices of food available at the stations have been kept stable. IRCTC has increased the price of all food items in trains running on East Central Railway ranging from Rs 2 to Rs 25. The prices have been increased at different rates. IRCTC has released a list of 70 items whose prices have changed. The new tariff list comes after an increase in the cost of food served in pantry cars in trains.
