Nagpur. People will get relief soon in two busy areas of the city. The work of Kingsway and Pardi flyover is almost complete and finishing work has been started. Electric wiring and lighting are being arranged in both the flyovers. If there is no delay in the inauguration and inauguration, both these bridges can be opened for the public in March.
Kingsway work completed
The Kingsway flyover can be fully opened. Its Y wing is ready. This project has also lagged far behind its schedule. It has been built at a cost of 55 crores. Its length is 982 meters. Passengers going to the station and those coming from Central Avenue were waiting for this flyover for a long time. It can be expected that people will get benefit from this. Its work was started on 12 October 2020. Steel girder has been used for the first time in this project for the purpose of quick completion of work. It has been directly connected to Ramjhula and that is why there has been delay in completing this project.
Pardi’s 3 routes ready, lighting work started
The wait for the Pardi flyover dragged on for a long time. The project which was supposed to be completed in 2019 is under construction till 2023. Certainly people had to face a lot of problems but from March this bridge can be opened for movement in at least 3 routes. Work is being done on a war footing to open three stretches. The work of installing street lights on Itwari, Kalamna and Bhandara Road has also started. The work of the entire road connecting all the three routes has been completed. It may take some more time to open Manewada Ring Road and Central Avenue. The priority of NHAI officials is to open Itwari, Kalamna and Bhandara road sections. Due to this, the traffic pressure will be reduced in the work area and the work of other sectors can be done faster. All efforts are on to open the Pardi to HB Town, Kalamna to HB Town and HB Town to Itwari routes from the end of March. Earlier the cost of this project was around 400 crores, which has increased to more than 649.5 crores.

Manas Chowk underbridge is also ready
The work of underbridge at Manas Chowk has also been completed. It is expected that along with the Kingsway flyover, this RUB will also be opened to the public. There will definitely be another option available for commuters to and from the cotton market, which will reduce the traffic problem.
