The government will compensate the farmers for the loss. Forest department officials say that a few months ago a herd of elephants has come to Maharashtra. This is causing a lot of damage to the agriculture of the farmers. Farmers are guarding the fields overnight so that there is no damage to agriculture. Some farmers have also been injured in this.
Assistant Conservator of Forests, Dhananjay Vebhase said that a herd of 23 elephants entered the Gadchiroli mandal of Maharashtra from Chhattisgarh on August 12-13. Along with the loss of agriculture, there are reports of some people getting injured. We are providing compensation to the farmers for the loss of property within a week.
