Dhulia: The person living near the Isaac Mosque of the city was being discussed in the area for roaming around with a country made pistol in his waist. Police had received a tip-off that this person was carrying a pistol to spread panic. The police caught him by laying a trap. Police Inspector Hemant Patil and Crime Branch had received a tip-off that Mohammad Shahid Riyaz Ahmed (Haji Nagar) was roaming around with a country made pistol in his waist and spreading terror and was standing near Dwarka Lodge at Chalisgaon Road intersection.
The crime branch immediately swung into action and sent a team to Dwarka Lodge from where he was arrested. On search, a country-made pistol worth Rs 25,000 along with live cartridges worth Rs 1,000 were recovered from his waist. He didn’t have a license. The police have seized the pistol and cartridges. Shahid was roaming illegally with pistol and cartridges to spread terror in the area.

On the complaint of Ravikiran Rothod of Crime Branch, an offense has been registered against Shahid at Chalisgaon Road Police Station. This action was taken under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Sanjay Barkund, Additional Superintendent Kishore Kale, Police Inspector Hemant Patil of the local Crime Branch, Co. Inspectors Yogesh Raut, Balasaheb Suryavanshi, Prakash Patil, Ashok Patil, Kunal Panpatil, Umesh Pawar, Ravikiran Rathod and Vishal Patil have done it.
