On being found guilty of attempt to dacoity, Additional Sessions Judge Shashi Bhushan Kumar Shandil, accused Ashutosh Sahni, a resident of Mahui Sudharpur under Ramgarhtal police station area, Mukesh Sharma, a resident of Ramdattapur, under Tiwaripur police station, Surya Prakash Tripathi, a resident of Algatpur under Sahjanwan police station, and Azamgarh district resident. Believing the information, the plaintiff along with his accomplices and informer reached the spot and sat in ambush. After an hour, the accused stopped in front of the house armed with weapons. After some time, two miscreants jumped inside Pawan Gupta’s house and headed towards the door.
Those who were caught by the plaintiff SO Nagesh Kumar Mishra and the constable and the miscreants standing outside were surrounded and caught by other policemen. On asking their names, the arrested accused revealed their names as Ashutosh Sahni, Vinay Kumar Rai alias Munna, Mukesh Sharma and Surya Prakash Tripathi and during the search illegal arms were recovered from them.
