Corona: Chief Minister Yogi's instructions, ICU should be functional in all districts, there should be no shortage of medicines and specialists

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday directed the officers to closely monitor the changing circumstances of Kovid. Whatever shortcomings have been found in the mock drills in the past, they should be rectified immediately. During the Kovid period, the government has set up ICUs in every district, they should be kept functional. There should be availability of anesthetic and other specialist doctors and technicians in every ICU. Three technicians should be deployed on the oxygen plant. The Chief Minister was reviewing the situation of Corona in the state on Monday.

The Chief Minister said that deployment of specialist doctors, functioning of medical equipment, proper availability of paramedical staff in all the hospitals run by the Health Department or the Medical Education Department should be thoroughly examined. There should not be any shortage anywhere. Mock drill should be done by the hospitals at their level as well.

He instructed the officers that during the last two-and-a-half years of the Kovid period, a large number of personnel were temporarily deployed to maintain the health services smoothly. Disregarding their lives in the Kovid period, the discharge of their responsibilities is inspiring and the spirit of service is commendable. This service period of these personnel should be counted in future appointments. Preference should be given to such personnel. Clear rules should be prepared in this regard.

More than nine lakh six thousand tests were done
He said that the situation in Uttar Pradesh is normal amidst the increasing number of Kovid-19 infections in different countries. More than 09 lakh 06 thousand tests were done in the month of December, in which 103 cases were confirmed. The positivity rate of the state was recorded at 0.01% during this period. Presently there are a total of 49 active cases in the state. More than 42 thousand tests were done in the last 24 hours. This is the time to be alert and careful.

Uttar Pradesh is the most covid vaccination state. Currently more than 11 lakh doses are available in the state. Continuous contact should be maintained with the Government of India for adequate availability of the vaccine as per the demand. The usefulness of the vaccine in preventing Covid infection is self-evident. People should be made aware to apply precaution dose. It needs speed.

Make people aware to wear masks
Chief Minister Yogi said that there may be an increase in new cases in the coming few days, in such a situation we have to remain alert. This is not the time to panic, but to be alert and careful. Kovid protocol has to be followed. Make people aware to wear face masks in public places. Activate the public address system. A constant watch should be kept on the new variant of Kovid. Whatever new cases are found, their genome sequencing should be done. Daily testing should be increased. People suffering from serious, incurable diseases, the elderly will have to take special precautions.

All the temporary / outsourcing personnel serving during the Kovid period should be paid the outstanding honorarium immediately. If the personnel have not been paid by the concerned agency after payment from the government/department, then taking cognizance of such cases, the arrears should be paid. Honorarium is the right of the personnel after service, it should be paid on time.

Chief Minister Yogi said that the process of paddy procurement is going smoothly in the state. So far, more than 41 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been procured from 6.50 lakh farmers at the minimum support price. In relation to this purchase of ₹ 8400 crore, at present the outstanding payment of ₹ 6700 crore has been made in the bank account of the farmers. Remaining ₹ 1700 crore should be paid at the earliest. The availability of DAP and Urea should be monitored in all the districts of the state. There should be no shortage of fertilizers anywhere.

In view of the Global Investors Summit, one day Investors and Exporters Conference was organized in Barabanki district. This effort of Barabanki is inspirational for other districts. Such events should be organized in other districts as well. The cooperation of the local public representatives should also be taken in this.

Last week, amid the festivities of Christmas and New Year in the state, there was an atmosphere of peace and harmony in all the districts of the state. Due to strong law and order, people enjoyed these special occasions with their families in peace. A large number of devotees arrived at religious places like Ayodhya, Kashi, Mathura etc. The police and the administration will have to be always ready for this atmosphere of security to continue in the future.

District Magistrate should do surprise inspection of night shelters
Night shelters have been established in the state to help the destitute people amid cold wave. So far more than 1200 night shelters have been established. The District Magistrates themselves should do a surprise inspection of the arrangement of the night shelters. Make corrections where necessary. No one should be seen sleeping on the road in cold weather. Every needy should have the facility of night shelter. So far 2.86 lakh blankets have been distributed to destitute, needy people. This sequence should be continued further. It should be ensured that the distribution of relief materials like blankets etc. will be done by the local MP/MLA/local body chairman etc. public representatives only. Administration officials will be present for assistance on the said occasion. There should be proper arrangements for bonfires at public places. The Prime Minister will flag off the longest river cruise ‘Ganga Vilas Epic’ from Varanasi to Dibrugarh on January 13. Necessary preparations regarding the journey should be completed well in time.
