The investigating Safipur Kotwali police extracted many clues from the mobile CDR and CCTV footage in the initial investigation.
On this basis, Pintu Rawat, who lived at some distance from the house of the deceased in the same village, was detained and interrogated, then he confessed to the incident and revealed the secret. SP Siddharth Shankar Meena told that the murderer Pintu told that he had a love affair with the girl for several months.
On the day of the incident, Pintu had taken car booking in a procession. At around 11 pm, he called the teenager over phone. When she came in front of College Road, sitting in the car, took her to a deserted place on the way to a gas agency and made physical relations in the car itself. They both stayed together for about two hours.
Pintu’s clothes sent to lab
According to the police, the murderer Pintu had made physical relations before killing her. He has accepted this during interrogation. But to corroborate the evidence and confirm the gang-rape, the clothes worn by both the accused at the time of the incident have been seized and sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory for investigation.
