The chief minister of the state, Yogi Adityanath, will be in Varanasi today i.e. on Friday. The program has been organized by the Inland Waterways Authority of India at Ravidas Ghat. During this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate seven jetties and lay the foundation stone of eight jetties. Simultaneously, a two-day PM Gatishakti Multimodal Waterway Summit will be organized at Deendayal Hastkala Sankul in Baralapur from 2 pm onwards.
Ballia, Chandauli and Ghazipur will get big gift
A total of 60 jetties are to be built between Varanasi and Kolkata. Seven jetties have been prepared in Uttar Pradesh, including Ravidas Ghat in Varanasi, Ramnagar, Kaithi, Balua in Chandauli, Collector Ghat in Ghazipur, Ujiyar Ghat in Ballia, Barauli and Shivpur. The inauguration will take place from Ravidas Ghat in Varanasi at 11 am today, while the foundation stone of eight jetties is also to be laid on the occasion.
Apart from the special guests, seating arrangement for more than two thousand people is being made at Ravidas Ghat. After this program, PM Gati Shakti Multimodal Waterway Summit will be organized from 2 pm onwards. Through the program, apart from the countries of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, efforts will be made to connect many states. Union Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonewal, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Union Minister Shripat Nayak, Cabinet Minister Mahendra Pandey, Uttar Pradesh Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh etc. will be present in this program.
