- 5 arrested from Shankarpur
Chandrapur, For the last one year, the bike was being stolen from Shankarpur in Chimur tehsil. The police have arrested five accused in this charge. At the same time, two accused are said to be absconding. During interrogation, the arrested accused told that they used to steal bikes to fulfill their hobbies.
Police have arrested Shankarpur resident Tofiq Rafiq Sheikh, Jishant Parvez Sheikh, Masoom Devrao Shende, Saurav Chandrashekhar Waghmare and Kampa resident Rahul Timaji Moharkar. Everyone’s age is between 18 and 22. In a year 7 to 8 bikes were stolen from Shankarpur. Out of which 5 bike owners had filed a report of theft. Others had not given the report due to non-completion of the paper of the bike. Thieves take away the bike kept in the courtyard with the help of master key at night time and the stolen bike was given to the accused resident of Kampa and the accused used to sell the bike by changing the number plate.
According to the primary information, the accused needed money for daily expenses, liquor and money on girls. But for this money was not available from their homes, so a gang was formed and started stealing bikes. On the basis of secret information, the police had kept an eye on the youths for the last three to four days. On being satisfied, he was arrested on Wednesday evening at 5 pm. Three bikes have been seized from the accused. The investigation of the case is beginning and the names of the accused are about to come out in the interrogation.
