Chandpur police and SWAT surveillance team arrested four miscreants after an encounter in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. 1.55 lakh rupees looted from mini bank operator, two mobile phones, one WagonR car were recovered from the miscreants. Four miscreants have been shot in the encounter. Two soldiers were also injured in the firing.

According to the police, in the early hours of Saturday, someone informed the police that the miscreants who robbed the mini bank operator in Chandpur were about to pass through the Jalilpur road. On this information, Circle Officer Chandpur / Incharge Inspector Chandpur, SWAT surveillance team started checking at Block Jalilpur Chowk. During this, a suspicious WagonR car no. UP20BM5967 tried to stop, then the said miscreants opened fire on the police team with the intention of killing them.

While retaliating by the police team, following the WagonR car, the scoundrels in the car were surrounded and caught near Simli intersection. In retaliatory firing by the police, two miscreants in the car were shot in the leg, who were detained in injured condition. Two of his fellow miscreants fled from the spot taking advantage of the darkness, they were chased by police teams and arrested. Constables Keshav and constable Surendra Chauhan, posted at Chandpur police station, were also injured in the firing by the miscreants.

On enquiry, the injured miscreants gave their names as Naveen Kumar Saini s/o Omprakash resident Meerapur Khadar, Bhupendra alias Binu Saini s/o Khachedu Saini resident Naipura both resident police station Chandpur Bijnor, Rajeev Kashyap s/o Mula Singh resident Biropur police station Chandpur Bijnor and Zeeshan s/o Furkan resident Darbad police station Chandpur Bijnor Told.

Three illegal 315 bore pistols with 5 live and 04 hollow cartridges, 01 knife and WagonR car no. UP20BM5667 used in the robbery, ₹ 1,55000/- looted from realme 6i mobile phone and looted money from the possession of miscreants A Vivo company’s mobile phone purchased has been recovered. In connection with the incident, action is being taken to register the case at Chandpur police station.

The miscreants had looted two days ago
The apprehended miscreants told the police that on November 17, near Laxmidhar Tiraha brick kiln under Chandpur police station, they snatched his bag from the mini bank operator at gunpoint and fled in their Wagonar car. In connection with the incident, a case under Section 392 of CrPC 838/22 was registered at Chandpur police station. According to the police, the criminal records of the arrested miscreants are also being searched.
