A month and a half after the BJP was out of the Nitish government in Bihar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will on Friday find a way to win 35 seats from Bihar in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Kishanganj. On Friday, Shah will hold an open discussion with all the party’s union ministers from Bihar, including 17 Lok Sabha MPs, five Rajya Sabha MPs, 77 MLAs and 23 MLCs from Bihar in Kishanganj.
After the exit of JDU from the NDA, the whole of Bihar is now open ground for the BJP, in which it is not compelled to give up more seats in alliance with any major party. This will be the first time that the BJP Legislature Party meeting will be held in Kishanganj. The party’s new Bihar in-charge Vinod Tawde will also be present in this meeting. After this, there will also be a meeting of the core committee of Bihar BJP.

According to BJP leaders who are aware of the agenda of the meeting, caste math will be the most important issue in the discussion. A senior BJP leader said – “New caste mobilization in Bihar and strengthening of Muslim-Yadav equation will be the focus of the meeting. BJP will reflect and devise such a strategy that small castes with a population of 20-30 lakhs can be brought together. ”

After the exit of JDU from NDA, BJP will make a new strategy for at least 16 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar where voters of my equation or any other caste equation is strong. A senior leader said the party will run with the smallest detail in mind and may even project a candidate from a dominant caste in the area on these seats. Apart from this, Amit Shah will also talk about the strength of the organization in the state.
Why is Seemanchal important for BJP?
In the four districts of Seemanchal, BJP has only one MP in Araria, JDU has Katihar and Purnia while Congress has MP in Kishanganj. Three out of four MPs belong to the Grand Alliance. If we look at the account of 24 assembly seats in Seemanchal, BJP has 8, while RJD-Congress has 5-5, JDU has 4, CPI-ML and AIMIM have 1-1. Asaduddin Owaisi’s party is not a part of the grand alliance but is supporting the Nitish government from outside.

A senior BJP leader says- “In two seats of JDU, Katihar was left for it by BJP in the alliance whereas Purnia seat is winning by JDU since 2014. If BJP brings any old leader, then this seat can come in BJP’s bag. Is.” There is buzz that BJP may bring back former Purnia MP Udai Singh alias Pappu Singh who had left the party in 2018. It is possible that Uday Singh may return to the BJP on the platform of Amit Shah.
Regarding the Kishanganj seat, there is a feeling within the party that even a lot of hard work will not yield any result in this seat with 70 percent Muslim population. Pankaj Bharti, a lawyer from Kishanganj, looking for BJP’s hope even in this situation, says – “If Owaisi’s party divides the votes, then there can be a chance.”
