Seven including four doctors (MBBS interns) of BHU’s Institute of Medical Science (IMS) were booked on charges of cheating and criminal conspiracy at the Lanka police station on Saturday. It is alleged that MBBS interns were getting internships done by people with other and lesser degrees in their place. The Proctorial Board caught hold of the whole matter and nabbed the fake intern and handed him over to the police. At present, the police have started investigation by registering a case on the complaint of the security inspector.
Dr. Nitin, Dr. Shubham, Dr. Soumik Dey and Dr. Kriti Arora have been named in the case filed. All four have done MBBS. Now they were doing internship in different departments of IMS, but by sending another young man and woman in their place, they were doing duty in a fake way. The fake interns have been identified as Preeti Chauhan of Amarpur Mandia Vishweshwarganj Varanasi, Mohit Singh of Vijudka under Adalhat Police Station Mirzapur and Abhishek Singh of WIE Colony Gate Anpara Sonbhadra. Police has also registered a case against all of them. Security Inspector Arun Kumar told the police in Tahrir that information was received from the nursing staff that in place of MBBS interns at Sir Sundar Lal Hospital, some fake people come to do duty. When the investigation was done on the basis of information, Mohit Singh and Abhishek Singh MBBS were caught doing duty as interns in a fake way. Both were taken to the Medical Superintendent’s office of the hospital.
