Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav along with RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary also wished Rahul Gandhi on his Bharat Jodo Yatra in Uttar Pradesh. After which all the MLAs along with RLD workers were also engaged in preparing to welcome Rahul Gandhi’s visit.
On the other hand, three days before the yatra reached Ellam, Congress state president Brajlal Khabri and western Uttar Pradesh zonal in-charge Naseemuddin Siddiqui had reached RLD’s district panchayat member Arvind Panwar’s establishment on Delhi Road. There the outline was prepared for the Bharat Jodo Yatra. During this, District Panchayat member Arvind Panwar assured full support to the state president during the visit.
Village Bharsi, Bhabhisa under the leadership of RLD’s Sadar MLA Prasanna Chaudhary, Purkaji MLA Anil Kumar, Thanabhavan MLA Ashraf Ali Khan, District Panchayat member Arvind Panwar, former District Panchayat President Tarshpal Malik, RLD State Vice President Satbir Panwar on reaching Kandhla on Thursday morning. Hundreds of RLD workers who came in tractor-torli from Bhanera, Kaniyan etc. kept waiting for Rahul Gandhi at the statue of Chaudhary Charan Singh.
During this, former state president of Congress Ajay Kumar Lallu was also present along with RLD MLAs. Rahul Gandhi’s convoy moved ahead without garlanding the statue of Chaudhary Charan Singh. Due to which RLD workers and supporters got disappointed.
Later, former state president of Congress Ajay Kumar Lallu and RLD MLAs garlanded the statue of Chaudhary Saheb.
