Kolkata : The Border Security Force (BSF) has recovered gold biscuits worth about Rs 2.57 crore from a pond in the Kalyani border post area in West Bengal’s Nadia district. The officers provided this information. He said that on the basis of specific information, a team of BSF launched a search operation on Monday to locate the gold.
In a statement, the BSF said, “40 gold biscuits were found in the pond. Their market value is estimated to be around Rs 2.57 crore. According to the statement, a few months back, a smuggler had jumped into the pond after being chased and hid the gold there.
