Police have pasted notices on the houses of 10 people, including SP leader Bhagwat Saran Gangwar, two former block chiefs, in the five-year-old case of assault and murderous attack in Bareilly’s Nawabganj. This action has been taken for non-appearance in the court. Bhagwat Saran Gangwar has been a minister in the SP government.

Ten people, including Bhagwat Saran Gangwar, have been declared absconders by the special court in the year 2017 Nawabganj assault and murderous attack. According to Special Public Prosecutor Priyanka Dwivedi, in February 2017, a report was filed against ten people, including Bhagwat Saran Gangwar, for assaulting BJP candidate Kesar Singh Gangwar and his associates in Nawabganj assembly constituency and assaulting them with intent to kill.
Police could not arrest
Bhagwat Saran Gangwar and eight other accused did not appear in the court even after the issue of non-bailable warrants. The police could not arrest him even after the court’s order. After this, Bhagwat Saran Gangwar, Veerpal, Vinod Diwakar, Anil Gangwar, Yogendra Singh Gangwar, Omendra Singh, Purushottam Gangwar, Sher Singh Gangwar, Tarun Kumar and Sudhir Mishra were declared absconders by the court. Now following the order of the court, the police have pasted notices on the houses of these people.
