According to sub-inspector Ajit Singh Badsara of Mehdipur Balaji police station, the girl student was murdered by inter-state women smugglers. Police deployed four teams and arrested Ajay Sharma alias Pawan, resident of Khair Sabzi Mandi, Aligarh, from Vrindavan and his female friend Kiran alias Phoolmati Yadav, resident of Jalalpur, Azamgarh, from Naugawan and sent them to jail. The accused told that the girl student was rendered unconscious by giving her intoxicating substance in tea. Ajay tries to force her. Even after not being fully conscious, the girl student did not let her succeed. After this, Ajay and Kiran together strangled the girl student and killed her by banging her head against the wall.
First made shopping, then killed
According to the police, the accused Ajay and Kiran had met the student at Mathura station. Seeing him alone there, both of them tricked him to go to Balaji and also got him shopping on the way. When he did not succeed in his plans, he killed him.
Police reached the killers even after erasing the evidence
After the murder of the girl student, the police interrogated the manager. He told that the language of both the accused sounded like UP people. Police started searching for such accused who traffic women in the districts of UP adjoining Rajasthan. During this, the police came to know that Ajay alias Pawan and his friend had gone to Balaji with a girl. After getting the evidence, Ajay escaped by tricking the police at Roorkee, Delhi and Aligarh stations, but was arrested at Vrindavan. On his tip the police reached Kiran.
The body of the student was cremated
Her brother and family had reached Bareilly late on Monday night with the dead body of the student. He was cremated at the city crematorium on Tuesday.
