In Bareilly, a woman from Bangladesh was hiding her identity for the last 11 years and was living in Samuha village of Nawabganj. This came to light when the police reached the village to verify the passport application. On Thursday, LIU also reached the village and investigated. A report has been registered against the woman and her husband. The police is interrogating both.

The arrested woman, Rajia, is a native of Bangladesh’s Jasore district. She was living in the village for the last 11 years as the wife of Puttan Shah, a resident of Samuha. Sub-inspector Pradeep Kumar told that Puttan Shah’s wife has passed away. The captured woman was using the name of Khatoon Begum, the dead wife of Puttan Shah, hiding her real identity.

He had also got Aadhaar card, voter ID and PAN card made at Richa’s address. Recently he had applied for passport. Police had reached the village in the past to investigate the application. During this, the matter came to light. After this the higher officials were informed.
