Knives during dance in wedding procession, two youths injured

In Azamgarh, there was a dispute between the two parties during the dance in the procession that came in Rahul Nagar Madya locality of the city. During this, people from one side attacked the other side with a knife. In which two youths were seriously injured. Both the injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. At the same time, the police reached the information and started questioning the three youths in custody.
The daughter of Pappu Singh, a resident of Rahul Nagar Madya Mohalla, was married on Friday. The procession had come from Bellary. Before Dwarpuja, the procession was going towards Pappu Singh’s door dancing and singing. The people of the locality were standing outside their houses watching the dance of the baraatis. Meanwhile, some girl of the locality was pushed by the baratis. Azad (22) and Hrithik (20), residents of the locality opposed it.
During the argument, the matter escalated and the youths of the wedding party took out knives and attacked Azad and Hrithik. Both were seriously injured during this incident of stabbing. After this there was chaos on the spot. In a hurry, both the injured were taken to the district hospital and admitted. On the same information, the city Kotwali police also reached the spot. The police took three youths into custody and took them to the city police station. Where he is being questioned. SHO Shashichandra Chowdhary said that Tahrir has not been received from the injured side yet. On receipt of Tahrir, further action will be taken by registering a case.
