LucknowUttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra reviewed the works of Janmabhoomi Path, Bhakti Path and Ram Path in Ayodhya through video conferencing. Durga Shankar Mishra, in his address, suggested the Chief Secretary, Divisional Commissioner and District Magistrate to install an escalator or a lift for the devotees at Hanumangarhi, Ayodhya, so that the coming elders and differently-abled people do not face any kind of inconvenience. He specifically asked for construction of benches etc. for the devotees on Panchkosi Marg, Chaudah Kosi Marg etc. routes. He told the officers that special care should be taken to ensure that there is no encroachment on the roads.

He said that a new Ayodhya will be established in the coming days, people from not only the country but also from abroad will come to see Ayodhya. We have to develop Ayodhya based on the character and ideals of Lord Ram of the Ramayana period, for this the suggestions of subject experts should be taken wherever necessary in the ongoing plans. Quality, sustainability and its far-reaching effects should also be included in all works. Timely payment of appropriate compensation to the people affected by the construction works should be ensured.

Janmabhoomi Path is 51 percent complete

Earlier, it was informed in the meeting that 51 percent of Janmabhoomi Path (Sugriva Fort to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir Marg) has been completed, the remaining work is in progress. For Bhakti Path (Shringar Haat to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir Marg), the land building purchase and rehabilitation work has been completed. A total of 350 affected shops have been compensated. After completing the demolition work, the civil work has been started.

2,130 shopkeepers have been paid

Apart from this, the process of demolition of the buildings located on the acquired land for Ram Path (Sahadatganj to Nayaghat road) is in progress. Against 2,196 affected shopkeepers, 2,130 shopkeepers have been paid for resettlement and rehabilitation. Secretary Public Works Ajay Chauhan and Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Mukesh Meshram, Housing Commissioner Ranveer Prasad, Divisional Commissioner of Ayodhya, District Magistrate, Municipal Commissioner and other concerned officers were present in the meeting through video conferencing.
