Itanagar: The state police today arrested 4 more people in connection with the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) paper leak case. So far 14 have been arrested in this case. Police is also searching for other people related to this.
The investigation of the much-discussed paper leak case of Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) is in the hands of the CBI. On the request of the Arunachal Pradesh government, the agency has registered a case and started investigation. Five people, including three officers of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission office, have been suspended.

Let us inform that the investigation of this case has been handed over to the CBI and its officers had reached Itanagar, where four people have been arrested today. Earlier, the police had arrested APPSC Deputy Secretary, Co-Deputy Controller of Examinations Taket Jerang along with nine others. APPSC Chairman Nipo Nabam had resigned from his post on October 14, taking moral responsibility of the matter.

It is alleged that several officials were involved in leaking papers in the Assistant Engineer (Civil) recruitment examination held on August 26 and 27. This matter came to the fore two days later. Those suspended include Deputy Secretary, Joint Secretary and Under Secretary level officers of the Establishment Department of APPSC.
