New Delhi : CBI has filed an FIR against former Union Finance Secretary Arvind Mayaram. The bushing of his residence itself has been taken up. Indian banks are accused of giving undue favor to UK-based De La Rue International company, which supplies special colored security thread for bank notes.

The investigations launched in 2017 are considered a turning point. It is alleged that Secretary Mayaram Yana de la Rue was given extension without the approval of the Finance Minister despite knowing that he was a special Rangacha security thread. The CBI has alleged that the government coffers were damaged due to this.
