Asha Devi, wife of farmer Bhanupratap Singh alias Naughty, resident of Mohammadpur Badhera village of Kotwali, burnt her six-year-old innocent daughter Vandani to death on Sunday just because she was playing outside with her brother Kunal and other children. She was not coming home even after repeated calls. After some time, when Kunal and Vandani reached home, Asha started beating both the children.
Kunal somehow escaped and ran away, but Vandani sat there and started crying loudly. Asha was repeatedly asking him to shut up, but he was not keeping quiet. That’s why she tied Vandani’s hands and feet and started threatening to kill her by putting sanitizer on her and setting her on fire. Suddenly the matchstick in Asha’s hand caught fire and Vandani’s clothes caught fire due to the sanitizer lying there.
Had Kunal not run away, a big accident could have happened.
The people of the village are discussing that Asha was beating both the children. It was a matter of gratitude that at that time Kunal escaped from her and ran away. If Kunal was there then it is possible that something untoward would have happened to him too. Saying this, the women of the locality, Ramvati, Kiran, Sunita etc. started crying. She started saying that the death of daughter Vandani is very sad, but thanks to God that son Kunal survived, otherwise whose friendship is good with fire. Remembering that scene, everyone’s hairs stand on end.
