The tussle continues for the post of Principal in DS College. Vice Chancellor of Raja Mahindra Pratap Singh State University Prof. Chandrasekhar reinstated the suspended Principal Dr. RK Verma. The College Management Committee suspended Dr. Verma on several charges and appointed Prof. Mukesh Kumar Bhardwaj was made the acting principal. There is a holiday in the college till 10th March on account of Holi.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Chandrasekhar said that action like suspension against Dr. Verma shows the ill will of the managing committee. Also, in the investigation conducted for the termination of service of employee Ravikant Savita, it is the result of the management committee being dissatisfied and being motivated by malice by presenting its separate impartial investigation report according to the law.
On the other hand, Rajeev Aggarwal, secretary of the College Management Committee, said that the Vice-Chancellor is continuously showing contempt of the court. Suspended Dr. Verma was reinstated on the basis of merit, while the High Court had to investigate the allegations of irregularities, not the merits. However, the Vice-Chancellor has not given any order to the committee to hand over the charge to Dr. Verma. That’s why there will be a meeting of the committee on March 4, in which it will be decided whether Dr. Verma should be given the charge or not?
no change in holiday
After the suspension was over, Dr. Rajkumar Verma as the acting Principal, Prof. Mukesh Bhardwaj’s leave has been cancelled. Teachers and staff should be present in the college on March 4. Managing Committee Secretary Rajeev Aggarwal said that there will be a holiday from March 4 to March 10. There will be no change in this.
