On Friday evening in Datawali village of Barla area in Aligarh, due to domestic conflict, the husband strangled his wife to death and then hanged himself. On information, the police reached the spot. The bodies of both were taken into custody and sent for postmortem.
Bablu (32) son of Bhup Singh, a resident of village Datawali, was a driver on a tractor from the village itself. He was married about 12 years ago to Rekha, a resident of Murari Naglia village in Kasganj district. The couple has two children. After a few days, Bablu brought his sister-in-law Parvati to his village and married her, due to which Rekha started living with her children in her maternal home. Parvati also has two daughters and a son. She was also pregnant at this time.
The villagers told that every day Bablu used to beat Parvati after drinking alcohol, due to which there was a rift between the two. Bablu was beating Parvati on Friday evening. Younger brother Dharmendra and Bablu’s mother rescue Parvati and go to the police station to get action against the son.
CO Barla Sarjana Singh told that during this time Bablu strangled his second wife Parvati to death and also hanged himself on her by making a noose, due to which she died. When the family members returned, they found Parvati’s body lying on the ground, while Bablu’s body was hanging. This information was immediately given to the police. Kotwali in-charge Inspector Subodh Kumar reached the spot and inquired about the incident from the family members and neighbors.
Later CO Sarjana Singh also reached there. Forensic team was also called on the spot. Till the time of writing the news, no Tahrir was given to file a report in this matter. The CO told that first of all he entered inside by opening the latch and then came to know that the husband had committed suicide after killing his wife. Further action will be taken on the basis of the remaining post mortem report.
