People living in New Lekhraj Nagar Colony, behind the District Magistrate’s residence of Aligarh, are troubled by the dirty water. Now he has announced not to pay any tax to the Municipal Corporation.
In the meeting of Lekhraj Nagar Resident Welfare Society on Sunday, newly appointed President Prof. KP Singh has unanimously announced not to pay tax. He said that those who ignore the solution of the problem will not pay any tax to the Municipal Corporation. Newly appointed chairman Subhash Shukla said that the problem of sewer and drain overflow in the area is under the notice of Municipal Commissioner to GM Jal Nigam, but no solution has been found.
Secretary Pankaj Dheeraj said that for more than two and a half months, the dirty water of the sewer is flowing on the roads. B. Pachauri, Sanjay Aggarwal, Pankaj Sharma, Kumar Pallav etc were present in the meeting.
