In Aligarh, a youth was shot dead at around 6.30 pm in village Bhagwan Garhi of Gorai Chowki of Iglas Kotwali over a minor argument. The police have taken the body into custody and sent it to Aligarh for postmortem. In this case, Tahrir has been given against two cousins of the deceased and one of their friends.
Gopali’s son Arjun Singh (25) had come to the village from Mathura on Tuesday on the occasion of Holi. After reaching the village, Gopali was meeting the people of the village by applying gulal. During this, there was an argument with a young man of the family regarding something. During this someone fired from a pistol. The bullet hit Gopali on the head, due to which he was seriously injured and fell there. The firing created chaos in the village. The attacker fled from the spot. On information, CO Raghavendra Singh, Kotwal Vijay Singh and Gorai outpost in-charge sub-inspector Sanoj Sharma reached the spot.
The police officials took information from the people of the village regarding the incident and sent the seriously injured Gopali to the community health center of Iglas for treatment. There Gopali was declared dead. Police sent the dead body to Aligarh for postmortem. The names of the cousins and one of their friends are coming to the fore in the murder. The police were told that Gopali had a fight with a young man a few days ago over some issue.
Arjun Singh had four sons. Pappu, the eldest son, drives an e-rickshaw in Mathura, while Rinku, the second son, works as a laborer in Mathura itself. The third brother, Raju, died two years ago due to illness. Gopali was the fourth son. He was a truck driver and was living in Mathura with his two brothers. CO Raghavendra Singh told that the body has been sent for postmortem. The CO said that Tahrir has been received in this case, in which Gopali’s cousin Languria, Deepu and his friend Shailendra have been named. A report is being filed against them.
