The Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) has got a target of getting an investment of 40 thousand crores in the proposed Global Investors Summit (GIS) in February 2023. Preparations have intensified regarding this. Along with encouraging the entrepreneurs, they are being assured of providing all necessary facilities.
It is believed that by attending the foundation day celebrations of GIDA, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has tried to create an environment for GIS in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. In this ceremony held on last Wednesday, he has further strengthened the cord of development among entrepreneurs by gifting investment and development projects worth crores of rupees for employment generation.
Apart from attracting investors from the country and the world regarding the Global Investors Summit, the government’s focus is also on encouraging the investors of the state. The Chief Minister himself is constantly calling upon the local entrepreneurs of Purvanchal including Gorakhpur to come forward to invest more while participating in GIS-2023.
At the Gida Diwas function, the Chief Minister also distributed allotment letters of more than 2.42 lakh square meters of land for future investment projects worth Rs. 1200 crore, besides speeding up investment projects worth Rs. An investment of Rs 1071 crore is proposed by M/s Varun Beverages, a franchisee of world-renowned company PepsiCo, and Rs 40 crore by Central Warehousing in these projects.
By laying the foundation stone of multi-purpose plastic park and flatted readymade garment factory in Gida, the Chief Minister has opened the way for establishment of about 172 industrial units. 92 units will be set up in the plastic park being built at a cost of about Rs 70 crore and 80 units in the flatted factory complex costing about Rs 34 crore.
Regarding investment and employment generation on a large scale through this, the CM has also instructed the officers that the problems of the entrepreneurs should be resolved by meeting every month at the district level and every three months at the divisional level. In this sequence, GIDA has also got the target of maximum investment in GIS 2023 from the entrepreneurs.
Gida CEO Pawan Agarwal says that talks are being held with entrepreneurs for investment. The entrepreneurs of Gorakhpur will also have good participation in the investment in GIS.
