Akhilesh Kumar Mishra was declared victorious on the post of President in the election of Vindhya Yuva Advocate Samiti of Lalganj Tehsil. Along with this, Rajendra Prasad Maurya was declared the winner for the post of secretary.
Voting started in the tehsil premises at 10 am amidst much fanfare, which continued till 3 pm. The result was declared an hour later at 4 pm. Out of total 146 votes of the committee, 130 advocates exercised their franchise and out of that two votes were found invalid. The presidential candidate Akhilesh Mishra got 77 votes and his rival Anand Pratap Singh got 51 votes. In this way, Akhilesh Mishra won by 26 votes.
Rajendra Prasad Maurya got 67 votes and his rival Surendra Kumar Singh got 61 votes for the secretary’s post. Rajendra Prasad Maurya was victorious. Other office bearers have been elected unopposed. Rajesh Kumar Jaiswal on the post of Vice President, Rajesh Kumar Gupta on the post of Joint Secretary, Pradeep Kumar Dubey on the post of Librarian, Rakesh Kumar Prajapati on the post of Auditor, Ashok Kumar Singh on the post of media in-charge have been elected unopposed.
Ghulam Rasool, Janardan Mishra, Satya Prakash Tiwari, Sharad Kumar Maurya, Nityanand Maurya, Sunil Kumar Pal, Brijesh Kumar Mishra have been elected as executive members of the committee. The information about the election result was jointly given by Returning Officer Jeet Narayan Dubey and Assistant Returning Officer Anil Kumar Maurya.
After the declaration of results, newly elected Speaker Akhilesh Mishra said that elections are a process of democracy. All lawyers have equal rights. The fight for the interests of the advocates will be fought together on every issue. Sudhir Pandey, Vipin Tiwari, Surya Prakash Mishra, Vijay Maurya, Brijbhushan Pandey, Jayprakash Dubey, Brijesh Tripathi, Manoj Dubey etc were present on this occasion.
