The number of corporators of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation is 36. AAP has 14, BJP has 14, Congress has 6 and Shiromani Akali Dal has one corporator. Only, Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal would have tried to boycott the elections. The BJP benefited because they did not vote.
