UP scales new heights in infrastructure development

The Chief Minister said that UP has achieved new heights in infrastructure development in five and a half years. Uttar Pradesh is moving at a fast pace towards becoming a state with 13 express highways. Along with this, the border areas of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan, including the Nepal border, have been connected with four-lane connectivity under interstate connectivity. The state is fortunate that the East and West Dedicated Freight Corridor passes through UP. We are developing this region as a logistics hub. Apart from this, UP has also achieved new heights in air connectivity.

Farmers’ income and confidence both increased

The Chief Minister informed that the agricultural products of Uttar Pradesh are being exported all over the world. With the development of infrastructure, today food grains are being exported on a large scale from agricultural districts like Ballia, Deoria, Kushinagar, Jaunpur, Chandauli etc. This has not only increased the income of the farmers, but has also boosted their confidence. Not only this, during the Karona period, when the work in many sectors was disrupted, even at that time there was strength in the agriculture sector in Uttar Pradesh. During the Corona period, 40 lakh migrant workers and workers came to UP. We not only made arrangements for their accommodation, food and medical treatment in all the areas by putting up teams, but skill mapping of workers was also done on a large scale. We prepared a database that how many drivers are there among the incoming workers, who are the workers and artisans. Along with this, a complete blueprint of the skills of each worker was prepared.

Will soon end the problem of flood from UP

He told that not a single industry was allowed to be closed in Uttar Pradesh during the Corona period. Arrangements were made with care. From covid helpdesk to oxygen, arrangements were made in the industries. We got this inspiration of Kovid management from the Prime Minister’s motto of ‘Save Life and Livelihood’. The Chief Minister said that there is immense potential in inland waterways in UP. Uttar Pradesh is a state of rivers. Due to our rivers being Himalayan, silt also accumulates in them on a large scale. Due to this, the problem of flood used to arise in 38 to 40 districts of the state earlier. We have done dredging of rivers on a war footing, after which only three to four districts are left where the problem of floods arises. We will solve this problem as soon as possible. We are moving fast towards achieving the goal of self-reliance. The largest cluster of MSMEs is in UP. Along with this, we are working on a large scale to promote the ODOP of the state. The Chief Minister said that in this two-day conference of PM Gati Shakti, we will explore all those possibilities which will help in realizing the Prime Minister’s resolve of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. The central and state governments will work together to take forward the PM Gati Shakti Master Plan.
