In Ashta Bhairav, another case related to the first very sensitive Lat Bhairav temple was heard in the court of Civil Judge Senior Division Ashwani Kumar on Thursday. The court heard the arguments of both the sides, then fixed the next hearing of the case on January 12. The parties made opposition in this case, Sardar Maqbool, Anisur Rehman and others appeared in the court after publication of the gazette. They are accused of possession.

In the 13th century, the height of Lat Bhairav was 32 feet, which is only eight feet at present. It was damaged by the emperor of the Sarki Sultanate of Jaunpur. The Government of India has also been made a party in this suit. The recognition of Lat Bhairav is very much in the form of Kapal Bhairav in South India. It is said that the planetary condition improves by darshan. Lat Bhairav has the first status among the eight Bhairavs of Varanasi.
