Transport Corporation will build two more bus stations in Varanasi. For this, land has been finalized near Harhua and Mohansarai Ring Road. Transport Corporation’s Managing Director Sanjay Kumar has also agreed to get the roadways bus station constructed by conducting a local inspection. Daily one thousand buses come and go at the Cantt bus station. This worsens the problem of jam in the city. In view of this, Divisional Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma had asked the regional manager to take the bus station outside the city.
After this, the work of finding land started with the help of Varanasi Development Authority (VDA). The land was marked at five places. The Managing Director of the Transport Corporation, who visited Varanasi on Sunday, also conducted a site inspection. In this connection, a meeting has also been held with the administration on Monday.
Proposal will be sent to the government
It was told that 16 acres of land has been seen behind Krishak Inter College Harhua. Similarly, five acres of land has been marked on the Mohansarai Ring Road on the first left side of the Hanuman temple. According to Gaurav Verma, regional manager of Transport Corporation, the managing director has finalized the land.
