Three jetties will soon be installed at the Ganges Gate of Vishwanath Temple. This will provide a lot of convenience to the devotees and tourists coming from outside. In view of the preparations for the G-20, the work of beautifying the Ganga Ghats will start soon. A proposal has also been prepared to set up jetties at Assi and Ravidas Ghats. Municipal Corporation has given three jetties received from Piramal Group to Smart City.
In future, the jetty will be used for solar taxis plying in the Ganga. This will provide a lot of convenience to the tourists and devotees coming from outside. There is a plan to use this jetty for water transport also. During the rush of the Ganga ghats, arrangements will be made to put boats on the side of the jetty, so that many people can get down from the boat at the same time. Municipal Corporation’s Chief Engineer Moinuddin said that the work of beautifying the Ganga Ghats would be started soon. With the installation of jetty, beauty will also increase and there will be convenience in water traffic.
