Fighting and firing took place on Friday evening near the tent city set up on the sands of the Ganges in Varanasi. Jitendra Yadav (25), an alumnus of Lal Bahadur Shastri College, Mughalsarai, was injured due to bullet injuries. Jitendra’s friend Hariom Yadav (25) suffered head injuries in the earlier fight. Both have been admitted to BHU Trauma Center for treatment.

At the same time, the police of Ramnagar police station and Chandauli district were embroiled in a border dispute for a long time regarding this incident. Ultimately, the spot turned out to be of Ramnagar police station area. The police is probing the incident suspecting old enmity and supremacy battle between student groups as the reason.

There was an argument over the sprinkling of water

Jitendra Yadav, a resident of Katesar village in Chandauli district, has contested the election of student union president in the year 2019 at Lal Bahadur Shastri College, Mughalsarai. At present, he helps his father Virendra Yadav’s milk products shop in Natimali.
