The already derailed traffic system in Varanasi city worsened after the opening of schools up to class 12 on Monday. The jam on the roads became a problem for the residents of the city. At various places, police and traffic personnel were busy in restoring the traffic smoothly. The jam started in the city from eight o’clock on Monday morning. Traffic jams continued in different parts of the city till 12 noon.
Due to the simultaneous movement of vehicles coming to the school, queues of vehicles formed on every major road. From Sunderpur, Bareka, Kakarmatta, Mahmoorganj flyover to Cantt station, people had to face heavy traffic jam. More or less the same situation prevailed in the areas beyond Varuna.
Schools open after about 20 days
Schools remained closed for about 20 days due to severe cold. There was traffic congestion on the city roads, but the situation was under control. Now as soon as the school opens, suddenly the pressure of traffic on the roads has increased. Due to the increase in the number of vehicles, all the arrangements remained stuck. This delayed people in reaching their destinations. Many were forced to walk towards their destinations.
