It will be made a level three hospital. If needed, along with corona test, genome sequencing will also be done.

Divisional Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma reviewed the preparations for control of corona infection online on Thursday. He directed to complete all the preparations to deal with the corona infection in the hospitals within two days. Said that in all hospitals isolation wards, testing of oxygen plants and oxygen concentrators, adequate arrangements for sanitizers, masks etc., telephone lines for telemedicine should be started, as well as the work of data feeding etc. from Kashi Integrated Command and Control Center will also have to be started. .

Currently there is not a single corona case in Varanasi

From December 1, 2021, 15,220 patients have been found so far in the third wave. It is a matter of relief that at present there is not a single infected person in the district. However, people are being appealed to be more vigilant in view of the new variant of Corona found in different cities of the country.

The first Kovid hospital was built in the Deendayal Upadhyay District Hospital, but due to non-availability of patients, it was converted into a dengue ward. CMO Dr. Sandeep Chowdhary has asked the Chief Medical Superintendent, Medical Superintendent of all hospitals to make arrangements for thermal screening, CT scan, oxygen, pathology tests as well as masks, PPE kits, globs as well as to make patients aware.

In the second and third wave, 180 in Deendayal, including BHU Hospital and Trauma Center had facilities to admit patients on more than 300 beds. By making it a Kovid hospital again, the patients will not face any problem. The plant is also being monitored afresh to ensure that oxygen reaches the beds at an uninterrupted rate. So that there is no inconvenience when needed. Preparations are also being made to order beds, examination of patients, necessary medicines and equipment for treatment.

Kovid protocol will be followed in hospitals. People need not fear. There is a complete system of investigation at other places including government hospitals in the district. Seeing the increasing infection of Corona, awareness campaigns have started in the city. On Thursday, devotees wearing masks performed Ganga Aarti at Assi Ghat.
